Underwater Mysteries: Journey Below The Bridge For Unreal Views!

So much life is starting to show up below the bridges I had to capture some underwater views!
I dropped a camera down beneath a bridge roughly 1 mile from shore in the Gulf to get a glimpse of the world down there.
This gives us awesome insight into what kinds of structure and species are down there!
Take a look!!

Prawn USA Junior Rig:
- Prawn USA Junior Shrimp Lure
- Hoss Weedless Football Jighead (3/0 hook with 1/2 oz. weight)
- Dr. Juice Saltwater Slam Scent
As you can see there are a TON of different fish swimming around with all sorts of rocks and rubble below.
This structure attracts all types of life.
Sheepshead, grunts, mangrove snapper and even some grouper mixed in as well.
Although you can’t see many grouper on camera, they were there.
One of the red grouper down there couldn’t resist the Prawn USA Junior.
That strike I was able to capture on film!
The rest of the fish didn’t seem to react at all to the strike.
This just goes to show that if you find the right spots, you can catch fish after fish.
These fish were constantly moving and on the hunt for something to eat.
A critical component to this type of fishing is using a weedless rig.
You can do this with both live or artificial baits.

Great video. How does it look under the Skyway Pier? My grandsons enjoy catching a variety of species and identifying them.
There isn’t as much structure as this under the skyway pier (at least not that I’ve seen), but there still is debris down there that hold some fish. The key is to find the zones with the most structure… for that, I use weedless jigs that I can bounce along the bottom to feel for anything unique while still having good odds of catching fish.
Awesome video!
The bull sharks
Where are the guys in the grey suits?
Those are called grunts… which taste extremely good (I like the more than mangrove snapper)
Would like to see two identical artificial crab baits dropped simultaneously with the same type of leader line. One would be soaked in Dr. Juice and the other without. I want to see if the stuff truly makes a difference. You would have to do this test 5-10 times to see if there was really a difference.
I’ve tried getting strikes from the sheepshead filmed on camera, and it hasn’t happened yet… they are super spooky!
That is great stuff!! Would love to see more underwater footage. Just seeing the life down there is really cool!!
Thanks for making time to post the nice comment!
