Meet the $13,285,226 cooler…
I’ll explain in just a second…
First of all, have you seen these over the top “Coolest Coolers” yet?
It’s as if the cooler gods got together one evening around a campfire and created the ultimate all-in-one party cooler… Just wait until you see the unbelievable features on this “Party in a Cooler” known as “The Coolest Cooler”!
Although the wait to receive my Coolest Cooler was brutally long, it was well worth it.
Here is the quick story on how this multi-million dollar cooler created a whirlwind of attention…
The Most Successful Kickstarter Campaign Ever
A little history on why this “Coolest Cooler” became so famous…
Back in July of 2014, a young inventor/entrepreneur named Ryan Grepper launched a crowdfunding campaign (on Kickstarter) around a cooler that had every bell, whistle, and desirable feature that any man or woman has ever mentioned they would like to see on a cooler…
Before you know it, the word about this over the top cooler spread like wildfire (I personally received an email from Brendon Burchard about the Coolest Cooler, so Ryan did an amazing job of leveraging some of his celebrity friends), and this Coolest Cooler Kickstarter campaign finished off at a whopping…
$13,285,226 of backing!!!!
That was the good news…
The bad news was that because they received a welcome (but unexpected) 62,642 backers, they had a TON of cooler fulfillment to deliver on, in a very short amount of time all things considered.
And apparently no amount of money can speed up the countless parts that were required from all over the world, quality inspections, manufacturing, etc. So as you can probably guess, the originally estimated delivery date for these Coolest Coolers were delayed by many months…
And the amount of hate and frustration comments from angry supporters went through the roof.
Luckily for Ryan and his company, they did a good job of diffusing the mob of angry cooler haters, and they did a spectacular job of staying in touch with all of us through regular email updates, pictures, etc.
Heck, I personally moved to a different state in between ordering mine and receiving it (thankfully their customer support is pretty darn good, and made it easy for me to make my address update).
But the Coolest Cooler is finally in my possession, and as you will see in the video below, it was well worth the wait…
Pros of the Coolest Cooler
Here is a brief list of some of my favorite features of this coolest cooler:
- It’s got a high powered blender built in for crying out loud! Need I say more?
- The Bluetooth Speaker is loud, easy to use, small, and incredibly indestructible
- USB charger so you will never have to worry about the music stopping due to a dead phone battery
- The bottle opener with the bottle top magnet is pure genius!
- Comes with a sharp ceramic knife and a cutting board that doubles as a cooler divider
- Really big wheels and an awesome cord to strap down your cooler or items on top of your cooler
- LED lights to see inside your cooler at night (without having to use a flashlight or blindly feel through the cooler)
- Keeps the ice surprising cold. The following day the original ice (along with some new ice I added that afternoon) was all still there intact (with very little water in the bottom of the cooler)
- 4 cup holders on top
- Pretty much has everything you need for a full day of partying on the beach, boat, lake, etc.
- It looks pretty awesome as well! Definitely turns some heads at the beach.
Cons of the Coolest Cooler
Here are the only cons I could think of in regards to the coolest cooler:
- The 4 plates that also act as frisbees don’t fly like regulation frisbees (I had to throw that in because as you will see in the video below, I had to blame my lame frisbee tossing on something… it certainly wasn’t my Heisman throwing arm…)
- The bottom of the cooler did have a bit of perspiration after about an hour and a half in the hot sun, so I had a few water spots in the back of my Tahoe after having the cooler in the back on the way home.
- These Coolest Coolers go for $485 on the Coolest website, so they aren’t going to be affordable for everyone. But then again, if you bought the same size cooler from a cheaper brand, then purchased all of the add-ons (like the Bluetooth speaker, blender, LED light, etc) you would certainly be close to the $500 range anyways. Not to mention, you wouldn’t have it all in one great cooler.

Conclusion
Overall, this Coolest Cooler is amazing.
And even at $485, it’s still a very good deal due to the fact it really is an entire party all in one cooler that would take you at least that much money to individually purchase all of the add-ons this cooler has such as:
- 55-quart cooler
- Bluetooth speaker (very high quality)
- Blender
- USB charger and long lasting rechargeable battery
- LED lighting for the evening after party
Of course, not everyone will be able to afford one, but just like a boat, if you can’t afford one, find someone who owns a Coolest Cooler and become their friend…
One thing is for sure, you will see team Salt Strong sporting our bright orange Classic Coolest Cooler out on the water and at the beach.

Overall, I am happy with the cooler, however, there are two things that could be improved. I live at the beach, and it will not roll over or through the sand. We had to pick it up and carry it to the beach until we got to packed sand. And, 2nd, the drink holders on the lid aren’t big enough. I have not been able to get a couple of drink containers to fit. Other than that, it is a great product. Thank you
