Can a spinning reel axle be straightened once it’s bent?

When bearings freeze up on an inexpensive reel, can you just grease them up and use them as bushings?

Thanks for sharing the videos with us. They were very informative and educational. I have always maintained my reels but would not recommend it to all people. Each person is unique and individual to their own mechanical abilities. Some must depend on repair shops or those buddies that have the ability to perform maintenance and repairs to reels.
