Matt and I took the boat out to fish a high outgoing tide all the way through to low tide.

The objective of this trip was to fish bank lines, flooded structure, and grass lines.

We chose these areas because they are most likely to be filled with shrimp and big baitfish like finger mullet this time of year.

The wind and weather were both working with us on this trip which was a huge boost along the way.

After reeling in a trout using live shrimp, I tossed on a Natural Power Prawn USA to see how it would perform.

Once you have an idea of where the fish are held up, you can try switching over to artificial.

This is a great way to save your live shrimp and really dial in on the feeding patterns.

Furthermore, it’s always a bonus when you have multiple people fishing with you.

Matt was able to use a different presentation than I was which adds to uncovering feeding patterns.

Also, they can help you get the fish in the boat!

Shrimp was the ticket on this trip – in either form!!

Fall is one of the best times of the year to break out artificial shrimp imitations and crush fish.

Fish need to stock up on calories and as water temperatures decline, their diet shifts heavily toward crustaceans and shrimp!
