Well pat like I have been saying putting the time on the water and gathering experience as well as learning is the BEST way to catch more fish and the fishing school definatly teaches that and as long as everyone knows this the better they will become because no matter how great the saltstrong smart spots app is its only a helping tool and never should be used as the only info one needs because even though I dont use computors for work or as much as the general public does I still know that because they are all manmade they are never perfect and one can be decieved if they only follow the apps info and advice instead of gained important info that is taught in the fishing school or the coarses for that matter even though I have been fishing for about 55 years now (started with my father when I was 5 now I’m 60) I still never stop learning because no one is a perfect angler and we all learn from our mistakes but I have learned much more with the coarses and school and just all around experience then anything electronic like the smart spots app I also use common sence instead as well and oh yes by the way here in northeast fl we really don’t have potholes to fish only shoreline grass with scattered oysters and docks and oyster mounds all in murky water that is prevalent about 90 percent of the year except in winter and very early spring where the water isn’t extremely clear but much more then the warmer months so scouting for fish by the shoreline can be very frustrating and tough just saying thanks for the info and all you do
It’s the knowledge on finding the fish and knowing where they will be that is the most important part of fishing. Most people spend way too much time trying to find that next best thing in lures or equipment, when doing the studying and applying what you know when you’re out on the water should be the focus.
I wish I knew half of what you have forgot, you have taught me so very much and complete details in every direction and your thought process is amazing and I look up to you and respect you for that, thank you sincerely mike justice
I appreciate that so much Michael! I’m just glad that I’m able to help people do the thing they love to do, catch fish.
Thanks Pat. Nice tips on how to dissect the area and find the fish.
