If you’ve followed us here at Salt Strong for anytime, then you probably know that we always do our best to keep our product reviews fair and balanced.
Meaning, we always tell you the pros AND the cons.
We also try to keep our reviews as positive as we can (because it doesn’t help the industry in general to slam products)…
But we also have a duty to tell you the truth when a product just isn’t a good deal (like the Twitching lure review we did here).
And these Grizzly polarized fishing sunglasses were another one of those situations where we felt that we had to warn you before you bought them.
I have been seeing their ads on Facebook and Instagram and they claimed their glasses were marked down from $149 to $29 (so I decided to give it a shot and see how they are).
Are they good fishing sunglasses?
I’ll let you see for yourself in the video.
Don’t hesitate to reach out or leave a comment if you have any questions or thoughts on this sunglasses.
Note: Another one of our Insider members (Jonathan Stefan) purchased a pair and had the exact same experience (so it wasn’t a shipping mistake).

I got me the pro kit. We went to the clinch river in east tn. I’ve had 100’s of glasses and none as good as these. All my name brand fishing and travel glasses have been put in their cases.
Best part is the fact you can get replacement lenses and frames. And the cost is 100% fair. Get some, they are amazing.
Ok,
So I caved in and bought a pair of Grizzly’s after seeing them all over Facebook and getting pummeled with ads. I resisted but suddenly I had a need to replace my current sunglasses. Figured I would give these a shot…. here are my findings and being 100% honest about this review. Please note, these are for the ones with the replaceable lenses that I’ve been seeing for the last year or so on my Facebook feed.
Pros:
Cons:
For me, these glasses just don’t cut it at all. While yes, the come with 4 different lenses, I was only going to use 2 lenses they come with as the other 2 don’t do anything extra for me. Why did I buy these? Because I thought the idea of having 1 pair of glasses and just swapping the lenses was a good idea at the time. Plus, with all the marketing, I bit down on them like a hungry bass in the middle of the spawn.
The real kicker for me was the 60 day money back guarantee. They want them in mint condition with all the packaging. I didn’t think to hold on to the packaging as I really thought they were a quality pair of glasses. I have most of it, just not all of it…. and they do want ALL of it. Also, I guess its possible to send them back in mint condition after testing them out. But to get a true test, you have to take them out fishing where anything could happen that could put a blemish on your glasses.
So are they better than a 300$ pair of Costa’s? No
Are they better than a Walmart pair of polarized glasses? According to my youngest who’s my fishing buddy…. No, they’re about the same.
Would they work for you? They might. Just get them when they’re on sale so you don’t end up paying 129$ for them. I paid 80$ for mine and at this point I’m just going to eat the cost and chalk this up to a life lesson.
They’re mediocre glasses, covered by a 1 year manufacturers warranty, with a money back guarantee that isn’t really a guarantee at all. From now on, I’ll stick with my Native Eyewears.
That’s disappointing.
Ordered Grizzly clip on glasses two weeks ago. Was charged but no shipping info. They have not responded to emails. Phone number just rings. Afraid I just got ripped off.
I don’t think Grizzly got anything from this. I know a number of people that ordered stuff off FB posts and all got screwed. They are NOT affiliated with Grizzly or any of the other names you see on FB. I’ve seen crablegs sold by Costco that weren’t Costco. I’ve seen tents from reputable co’s that were sold but not correct. y EVERY ONE of the products on FB are Chinese scam/bullshit !!
Order glasses from this company sent them several emails to ask a few questions will not answer my emails this company is terrible in my opinion will not order any thing else from them piss poor customer service
I got my sunglasses from grizzly I have no problems with them shipping was quick got them in under 2wks there light they block the sun pretty good I feel though that they feel just like a cheap brand from Walmart I’ve not noticed that the fish pop like in there video but they do get the sun glare while I’m driving I did reach out to them and had a reply in a day not all bad not all good but fair glasses could be better for the price
I agree that shipping and delivery were slooo, but the best SG’s ever !!!!!!
Facebook adds always come from China and never a mention of it in the adds
I know this was 4 years ago … but I just got a targeted ad from Grizzly this morning. Yep – same glasses, still available as Outsun on Amazon for less than 1/2 the cost.
But one of the things in their ad was that they have people saying they are “better than their Costas”.
Really?
So… do you have any review of how well they work, compared to Costas, at actually seeing fish in the water?
