Today Is The Day After My Death…

I’m going to die.
So are you.
As much as we try to fight it, it’s inevitable… we’re all mortal.
That being said, have you ever thought about what people will say about YOU during your funeral?
I recently came across my original notes from the book, Fishing For Happiness.
Up at the top of the notes were the words, “Today is the day after my death.”
Below the headline was everything I share in this week’s Unchurched.
Enjoy this episode and let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

I’d greatly appreciate any and all feedback by leaving a comment at the bottom of the post.
You have my word I will read every single message (although it might be tough for me to get all of them considering the tens of thousands of people will read and see this).
Finally, I’d really appreciate it if you’d take a second to SHARE this with your friends and family.
Thank you for being part of the Salt Strong family!

Thanks for the insights, interesting discussion.
I wouldn’t worry about writing your eulogy, it would certainly be too late and you really shouldn’t care because you’d be on to bigger and better things anyway.
Why not consider letting your eulogy write itself? Why not create your “legacy” immediately? My point being, live your life and treat others in a manner – today – so when that time comes your eulogy is already written and your legacy – if that is important to you – has already been cemented. Of course these two should be done so to meet your criteria and of course that is the discussion you were sharing. Still my point is the same. Meet that criteria now, or at least work on it, so your eulogy writes it self.
You spent some time discussing how children live in the present and how you try to get there too. Same principle.
Thanks again for the discussion.
Joe, we need to try to get together and let me pole you around the mangroves in Ozello one day. We could have some Great discussions.
And yes that’s an invitation!!
I hadn’t realized you guys were Christians. Since I think Jesus is pretty cool, and people that have strong belief are pretty cool I’ll be following you guys more closely. Keep up the good work. And thanks for great fishing tips too.
Hahaha. Appreciate you, Lloyd! We’re blessed to have you part of the Salt Strong family.
