The Daiwa Saltist MQ Features
- Monocoque (MQ) Aluminum One-Piece Frame
- Digigear System
- Zaion Air Rotor & Bail
- Magsealed Technology
- Waterproof ATD (Advanced Tournament Drag System)
- New Aluminum Round Knob
The new and improved Saltist MQ is the perfect combination of durability and power.
Its super lightweight monocoque body boasts a large main gear that’s bigger and thicker than most reels on the market.
The new aluminum round knob is ergonomic and gives you a ton of cranking power.
Whether you’re fishing live bait tight to the mangroves or soaking big pieces of cut bait around bridges, this reel will allow you to fight bigger fish with ease!
And the Magseal technology keeps the Saltist MQ protected so it can perform in even the harshest conditions.
If you want power and performance, I highly recommend checking out Daiwa’s new Saltist MQ spinning reel!

How do I register, to be able to order fishing products from Salt Strong. Thanks.
Put a 6000 on a 7’11” 15-30 bullbay reel animal I’m gonna throw the first cast tonight
Awwww Yeah, Brotha! That’s a sweet setup!
Too bad Salt Strong Tackle Shop doesn’t offer the MQ2500D!
We will be!!!!! I’ve added them to order. Stay tuned, brother.
Looks good , but $300 means I can buy 3 Fuego’s or BG’s and still take my wife to Wendy’s.
If only we could get our hands on Fuegos! That’s obviously the biggest challenge. They are great reels when they are available. In the big scheme of things, all Products in the Fishing Industry are intended to be Tactic Specific. Can a Fuego do all of the things an Inshore Angler needs? Technically, Yes. But are there other products out there that can do the job of the Fuego better? Also Yes. It truly depends on the Angler’s style of fishing.
Definitely my next reel. I love my Saltist 3000. Does anyone know what the drag will be on a 2500? Excited!!!! Tight Lines!!!
Pretty sure it’s something insane, like 22lbs. of Drag (but honestly, it’s probably even higher than that!)
What rod is recommended for this reel? Can I pair it with a TFO Pro?
Absolutely! I think the Saltist MQ performs best when matched with a rod suited for that style of fishing. You can certainly use a 7’6″ Medium and still use the Saltist MQ 2500 and 3000 sizes for throwing Artificial Lures inshore. But you’ll really be getting the most out of what this reel can offer when you use either a 7’0 or even a 7’6″ Medium-Heavy power and 15-20lb. braided line fishing closer to structure.
I would go with a 7’0″ MH if you plan on using a lot of bait close to structure, or go with the 7’6″ MH if you will also be covering larger distances across the open flats.
How much I want this reel > how annoyed my wife will be that I’m buying another reel.
Same, John, Same!
Hi beautiful reel what is the price of this reel
