How To Fish Florida’s Panhandle (Tips From A Local Guide)

http://capt%20lionel%20james%20tarpon

Nobody is born a fishing guide…

It takes a lot of time and practice to become good at catching fish, and then more time and practice to become a good fishing guide.

But the reward for all of this time and practice… is that you get to go fishing for a living!

Today’s podcast guest is Capt. Lionel James of Lion’s Tale Adventures in Destin, FL.

Capt. Lionel has had an incredibly full life for such a young guy.

He was in the Air Force, was a firefighter, lived in Alaska for a while, was an MMA fighter, played college football, and now he’s finally arrived at his childhood dream of being a fishing guide.

Unlike many captains, Capt. Lionel didn’t spend his whole life fishing the waters that he currently guides in.

He’s had to quickly learn how to catch fish in the Panhandle and in this episode, he’s sharing how he did that so you can learn, too.

You’ll also learn:

  • How fishing for redfish can be the same (but different) no matter what state you’re in
  • How to plan your fishing trips (and find more fish)
  • His favorite types of spots to catch fish
  • How to catch redfish from the beach (hint: it’s easier than most people make it out to be)
  • The top mistakes new anglers make
  • And much more
