It’s a fact, stainless steel drinkware is red HOT right now.
From hard-core anglers to outdoorsmen to soccer moms, it seems as though everyone is sucking down liquid out of a stainless steel cup today.
But that doesn’t mean we should drink bottled beer out of a stainless steel cup… or does it?
Have you heard of BottleKeeper yet?
It’s the ultimate stainless steel koozie that not only keeps your beer colder, but it also protects the glass from breaking.
Pretty ideal for people who love bottled beer who love a super cold brew without having to worry about the bottle breaking (like boaters, anglers, and this guy below)

Pros Of The BottleKeeper
- The BottleKeeper now comes in three different sizes (and a bunch of different colors):
- 12 oz Standard (shown in the video below)
- 12 oz Subby (shown in the video below)
- 22 oz Bomber
- It definitely keeps your bottled beer colder, longer
- At $22 per BottleKeeper, it’s priced very reasonable compared to the stainless steel cups (that certainly don’t protect beer bottles)
- The BottleKeeper does a great job of keeping your beer bottle from breaking.
- The insulated neoprene inside of the stainless steel container can be removed to wash
- As of this writing, the BottleKeeper has over 4,000 positive reviews! (you can see them all here)
- Finally, “Colder Beer Is Better. It’s Science” – this is BottleKeepers awesome trademarked tagline.
Cons Of The BottleKeeper
![bottlekeeper review](https://www.saltstrong.com/wp-content/uploads/bottlekeeper2.jpg)
- The only real con I could find with these BottleKeepers is that although they have three different sizes, some of the beer makers use some unique bottles that just won’t fit in these stainless steel koozies correctly (like the beers listed above)
- So if you enjoy Negra Modelo like I do, you will still have to drink that beer without BottleKeeper protection.

Conclusion
First and foremost, always drink responsibly.
We never encourage excessive drinking and we certainly don’t condone drinking and driving (boats, cars, or any type of moving vehicle).
But when you do decide to safely imbibe delicious beer from a bottle, do it with a BottleKeeper. I have used this myself for the past month and it really does work.
I took it down to the Florida Keys for lobster season and put it to the test with Corona beer bottles around the pool, on the beach, and on the boat.
I will note that you still want to be careful with beer bottles on the boat as they can still break in your cooler if they aren’t packed in safely when you hit a wave.
