What Is The Best Lure For Saltwater Fishing? [FL Keys Case Study]

“What is the best lure for saltwater fishing?” is a question we get all of the time.

The answer of course depends on exactly what type of fishing you’ll be doing as well as what species you’re targeting.

So in this video, I’ll share a case study that reveals my most trusted lure and overall strategy for consistently catching fish even when traveling to areas that I have never fished before.

It has worked across many regions for a wide variety of species for me as well as many Insider Club members who have used it.

As you’ll see in the video below, this fish catching strategy isn’t just to go after catfish or other species that are easy to catch… this strategy focuses on all species that eat small shrimp which includes most species of fish.

Best Lure & Strategy for Saltwater Fishing

Make sure to check out this fun lesson because it shows how to get some great action while using a great all-purpose lure.

And it shows how to adjust your lure retrieve to get strikes based on the current flow direction.

Equipment Used

The most important thing we all were using was the right lure for this type of fishing which was the following:

As for rods and reels, we all were using different setups:

For line, we all were using 10 to 15 lb braid with 20 lb mono leaders.

Conclusion

You don’t need to have a tackle store full of lures to get consistent action for quality fish… even when traveling to other regions.

All you need is to get good at generating strikes with just a great lures. And this Prawn USA Jr in particular has been by far my most trusted for fishing around bridges.

But before you buy any more lures, make sure to go through our online Fishing School because it’ll help show you how to quickly find great fishing spots along with all of the additional information you need to succeed.
