With all the different types of fishing knots out there, it can be confusing to know which ones you actually need.
And while some knots are better than others for different situations, in this video, you’re going to learn the one knot that you can use for everything.
You can use it to tie your leader to your hooks or lures, as well as use it to tie your braided line to your leader line.
And the best news is that it’s really strong, but still fast and easy to tie.
See what this knot is and how to tie it in the video below.

The uni knot is the best knot for beginners because it’s strong, easy to tie, and versatile.
You can see written instructions for how to tie it with pictures in this post about how to tie the uni knot.
It also includes instructions for the modifications needed when you’re using braid vs. mono.

Uni Knot is a great Knot, using this knot more and more. Thanks
Thanks Luke, great video.
One question,When do you use a swivel (floro/braid) vs Line / Line connection.
Only if using a lure that creates a lot of twisting in the line (like a spoon). But even then, I now mostly don’t even bother with a swivel because the swivels don’t do much good with braid lines since they don’t offer much/any pushback when they get twisted like mono/fluoro does.
Thanks Luke
Thank you Luke!!!
