Fall is an awesome time for inshore fishing as water temps are coming back down, and the fish are becoming more aggressive!
Gold spoons are a great option this time of year, but many people overlook using a Gold Spinnerbait.
These lures work awesome when water temps are comfortable, and water conditions are a bit murky.
See the video below for tips on using these lures!

Well Tony if you read my recent report and I know you did because you commented on it you know I use spinnerbaits alot in fact probably as much as coach Matt uses his famous Kevin vandal wakebait in otherwords alot but I dont just use it for redfish but flounder in fact it’s probably pretty much my favorite lure when the water temps I have found to be at least 65 degrees anything under that temp I usually start using my old chasebaits flick prawn in my favorite color which is jelly prawn but all through the late spring and all of summer and in the fall until the water temps drop below 65 degrees its my primary lure of choice for reds and flounder the only problem being flounder can’t be kept for 6 weeks from the 15th of Oct to the 1st of dec which really bucks and isn’t fair because the giggers although there catch limit has been cut in half from 100 lbs to 50 it’s just not fair to let them do it if us recreation guys can’t because it’s obvious who is so called depleting the stocks guys tgat catch an occasional limit now and then or the commercial guys who are really reletively speaking unchecked and can spear as many as they can because the florida fish and game are very rarely seen at night when they should be checking them and I should know considering I’m king of night fishing here in northeast florida because more then 95 percent of the time that’s when I mostly fish especially during the hot months in northeast fl anyways just saying rules are rules but that doesn’t mean they are always fair or just it was a darn crying shame how many flounder I had to let go and could of caught on sat morning and afternoon but it is what it is I also should m see nation I have found that a baitcasting rod and reel setup works much better then a spinning outfit especially when palming the reel more vibrations can be felt from the blade spinning and when they usually thump it when hitting it I also found the zman spinnerbait is far better quality then the redfish magic because the wire frame of the zman is alot thinner and stronger then the redfish magic vibrations are really obvious anyways just saying thanks for your view of them and all you do😀👍
I totally agree with the gigging comment. Same thing here in Texas. But I believe money talks. Also I’ll need to checkout the ZMann Spinnerbait. What soft plastic do you match it up with for flounder?
You are absolutely correct in that money talks politics do as well and unfortunatly when both are together things that make no sence happen often and as far as the zman where I do love there new tough pte plastic made baits because our water here in northeast fl where I live and fish is quite murky I like a paddletail or curly tail with alot of scent and gulp baits definatly are made just for that reason and redfish being what I call the hound dogs of inshore fish because of there keen scence of smell really go after gulp baits plus the flash of the gold blade of the spinnerbait really draws there attention and provokes a strike scent flash and vibration or sound the 3 main scenes that all predatory fish use to hunt there prey and here in my neck of the woods in northeast fl you need all the options and attractions you can get because unlike the majority of the state of florida where the water is mostly clear its the opposite here and murky water requires more to attract fish hope this all helps😀👍
Yeah there is definitely a sweet spot with water temp when using the spinner bait. We have a flounder closure here as well during what is usually the best time to target them.
I think you got me confused with Ray Jachim because I live and fish in Florida he’s the one who lives and fishes in Texas just saying
