Fishing Coach Richard Thomas was a member of Hurricane Search and Rescue teams a few weeks ago when Hurricane Ian devastated most of southwest Florida.
He joined this week’s podcast episode to describe what he saw and how his team was able to contribute to the clean-up efforts.
We continue to pray for and think of those directly affected and still dealing with the overall aftermath.

My neighborhood was ground zero for the wind, on the north and northwest side of the eyewall with sustained 100 to 110mph winds, gusts to 155mph for 10 hours. Considering what happened on the south and southeast side of the eyewall you could say we were lucky. My heart and prayers go out to all those who lost friends, family members and their homes. Don’t forget that this area will need help and hope for recovery for years to come.

Wow, I’m sure so many are very grateful for Richard’s virtues he just exhibited! The selfless rescues and help he gave to the victims of one of the worst hurricanes to hit Florida. I love the story of the power of prayer! As far as the media, would they pan away from the devastation if it was in blue areas of the country? I’m just asking.
