Best Fishing Knots
The knot we use for each connection in our line is one of the few factors involved with catching a fish of a lifetime that we have 100% control over.
So it’s on us to make sure we’re using the absolute best knot based on the connection type of lines used.
All fishing knots are NOT created equal, so strength testing is needed to determine the winners vs. the losers.
Here’s the latest list of the knots that we’ve tested so far for the various line types and connection needs:

Conservation
Our fisheries are something that we have to do our part in protecting. And that, of course, involves proper handling of our fish that are going to be released.

Did some fishing this past few days down south east , to say the least helped my best friend procure a few jack cravals at the bridge which I will not disclose location just that it’s been one I miss , and its close enough to where I grew up in Broward county Florida, I got a chance to fly fish from a paddle board at one of my favorite places to surf in the winter Deerfield beach, I caught a half dozen blue runners on a surf candy fly from the striper set that i got from big y fly.com they have a fire set of flies, and I managed to break the tip of my wakeman 5/6 rod,my morning was so epic some thing big slammed the blue runner as I was fighting it to my board ,and afterwards I got to see the lobsters do their annual line dance on the top of the sand bar sa tempting as it was to try and snag them would not get caught by the fwc for illegal harvesting, be shure to let it go if you know it’s under and over slot please .but this adventure was awesome as soon as I get another fly rod will be testing some orvis and more surfcandy flies for shure…check them out for your self they’re not gonna disappoint…they defenatly catch fish
Tip idea – whats the deal with scent? Gulp has it; Procure has something – Luke did side-by-side video but the results were somewhat inconclusive. Back in my freshwater days, I’m pretty sure it (Fish formula II) helped obscure human scent on lures you’ve handled a lot. We’ve certainly handled these Zman baits a lot by the time we get them situated on the hook – any need to try to mask that?
