If you currently Subscribe to our site and get our FREE weekly fishing tips, then you know that a lot of the fishing tips revolve around inshore fishing (Snook, Redfish, Trout, etc).
But Luke and I also love bass fishing (we grew up on a lake in Winter Haven, FL where we spent countless days landing lunkers in our bass boat), trolling for fish, diving for fish (and lobster), and any other form of fishing involves us being outside and having a great time.
So of course when Luke got the invite to go offshore fishing with Candace Headrick, her dad David Headrick, and Captain Milton Bontrager out of Sarasota last week, he was quick to send me a text saying,
“Out fishing for the day. DON’T call me if you need anything.”
Needless to say, that meant I was stuck in the office to work on the website, edit videos, etc. Here is a shot of me last Wednesday (HUMP DAY) while Luke was out fishing.
But I’m not bitter about it…
As long as Luke brings back great fishing video footage (and dinner), then I have no issues at all (he accomplished both on this trip).
So after we posted the wild pic of Candace holding the “Half-eaten” amberjack (from this offshore trip last week) in our private Facebook Fishing Tribe group (click here to join the Fishing Tribe), people were asking if we had any footage.
The answer is “YES, we do…”
Check out the video below on what happens when Salt Strong Goes Offshore Fishing…
Note: Although you can’t see the shark attacking the amberjack up close, the pic of Candace’s holding up that Amberjack head is priceless… and there is some incredible footage of them catching snapper, grouper, and more amberjack.
And if you think any of your offshore angler friends would enjoy this video, please share it with them – I’d really appreciate it.
